The Goodbeat! Weekender, in association with the Saturday Night Experience, returns with another exceptional line-up of local and international talent for a vibrant three-day live event across four venues. This summer, Goodbeat! and the online Saturday Night Experience community join forces to host a weekender encompassing all things deep and dope across the house, disco, soul, and jazz spectrums. They bring together an incredible schedule of DJ sets, interviews, live streams, and dancing to celebrate dance culture and the first hints of summer in Toronto.
The weekend kicks off on the evening of Friday, June 7th, at an undisclosed venue for an exclusive launch event with some of the city's finest house DJs in attendance. The event will be streamed live via Twitch.tv, providing an opportunity to dance in an intimate space and set the mood for the rest of this packed weekend. Saturday, June 8th starts at the city's celebrated downtown Stackt Market, where there'll be a program of soulful and danceable music provided by city stalwarts Jason Palma and Iced Misto, recently known for their genre-fluid Higher Ground Sessions, Johnny Lopez of Beats United Radio, and special guests. In the evening, we head over to the Casablanca — an urban cosmopolitan bar lounge with an eclectic and chic ambiance nestled in the vibrant Ossington Village. This venue invites dancers to immerse themselves in an extraordinary auditory journey. With the city's renowned Trackheadz maestros, Nick Holder (DNH) and Tyrone Solomon (83 West), as well as New York's Dave D*Sol Rivera (Shelter NYC), you are guaranteed to sweat!
On Sunday, June 9th, we wrap up the event in style with a brunch party at the infamous Joe Bird. This afternoon party will give music lovers the chance to finish their weekend on the good foot inside this amazing lakeside bar and restaurant, with the option to enjoy the good food and drink that the venue offers, and an amazing soundtrack curated by some of the city’s best lounge and house music DJs.
